Privacy Policy

General

The trust of our customers is incredibly important to us. This trust is built, in part, on how we handle the information we collect about you as a customer or potential customer, and our ability to protect your privacy. We want to describe as clearly and transparently as possible how we collect, store, and use the data you provide to us as a result of using our website or services.

Data Controller

Veloca Explore AB, with organization number 559533-0662 (Veloca, we, our, us), is responsible for the personal data collected on this website or otherwise. You can contact us via our contact page on this website.

What personal data do we collect?

The data we collect is primarily personal data that you yourself provide when using our website by submitting information through our contact forms.

Cookies

A cookie is a small text file saved on the visitor’s computer when visiting bikeguide.se. We use cookies to provide you, as a user of our website, with access to various features and to collect statistics about our website and user behavior. You can disable this function in your browser, which may result in certain functionality being limited.

Personal data provided when contacting Veloca

When you contact us, for example by email, phone, or at a personal meeting, we may, depending on the nature of the matter, save information about you that is needed to answer your question or help you with a problem. This may include your name, phone number, address, email address, and the nature of the matter. Your personal data may be saved in your capacity as a contact person.

The purposes of our processing

The primary purpose of processing your personal data is direct communication with you as a customer and to develop and improve our business and your customer experience. Customer data may be used in marketing contexts by Veloca or by companies outside the organization that Veloca collaborates with for marketing purposes. Companies that Veloca collaborates with have their own GDPR-compliant policy in place, including companies outside the EU/EEA.

The legal basis for our processing

Veloca may process and retain your data based on legal grounds, for example to fulfill our agreement with you as a customer.

Who processes data – disclosure of personal data

Only our staff have access to the data we store locally in our customer database. Certain data is stored with our suppliers or in cloud solutions, which means we transfer personal data to the supplier, in which case the supplier acts as our data processor and processes the data solely on our behalf in accordance with an agreement with Veloca.

Retention period of personal data

Your personal data is retained until the purposes of the processing have been fulfilled, and is deleted or anonymized when it is no longer relevant for the purposes for which it was collected. Personal data we store based on your being a customer or using our services will remain for as long as you are an active customer with us. The same personal data may be stored with us in several different places for different purposes, such as for newsletters or invoicing. This means that data deleted from one system may still exist in another system where it is stored on the basis of a different legal ground or for a different purpose where it is still needed. You may request that we delete all personal data we hold about you. This does not include any data we are required to retain for administrative, legal, or security purposes.

Disclosure or amendment of personal data

To ensure that privacy legislation is not misused by others to your detriment, Veloca has a responsibility to verify your identity when contacted regarding matters relating to your personal data. Depending on the nature of the contact, we may therefore require you to verify your identity in an appropriate manner.

Complaints to the supervisory authority

You always have the right to submit complaints about our processing of your personal data to a supervisory authority, which in our case is the Swedish Authority for Privacy Protection (Datainspektionen). For contact details, see www.datainspektionen.se.

Changes to the privacy policy

This privacy policy may be updated from time to time. The latest version can always be found on our website.
